Woman recruit transport aircraft pilots complete solo flights

The first group of female transport aircraft pilots from the People's Liberation Army Navy of China completed their first solo flights.

The admission of new recruits will contribute to increasing diversity in naval aviation personnel, announced the Naval Aviation University responsible for training on Monday (29).

All born after 2000, the recruits have university education and were admitted to the training program in 2023.

During the training, they underwent various solo flight sessions, involving multiple aircraft models and different maneuvers.

Since their enrollment, the trainees have participated in a series of training and study courses, including aviation theory, aviation emergency survival training, simulator flights, and ground flight preparations.
