Air China flight between São Paulo and Beijing resumes

Air China resumed its flight between Beijing, China, and São Paulo, via Guarulhos Airport, on April 28th. With a stopover in Madrid, Spain, the flights are operated by Boeing 787-9 aircraft, which have a capacity for 293 passengers. The operation, occurring twice a week, had been suspended for three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today, to fly from São Paulo to Beijing, travelers from Brazil need to make connections in multiple destinations, changing planes in locations such as Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, making the journey's duration close to or exceeding 30 hours.

With the return of Air China's flight, this travel time will be reduced to 22 hours and 25 minutes, as the route has only one stop in the Spanish capital. Nonetheless, this remains the longest flight operated with the same Boeing 787 aircraft.
