Ceremony marking 45 years of official relations between Portugal and China.

Yesterday, on January 11, 2024, there was a ceremony marking 45 years of official relations between the Portuguese Republic and the People's Republic of China, in the Dona Maria Room of the Assembly of the Republic. The ceremony represented a joint initiative of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Lisbon and the Parliament's Portugal - China Friendship Commission.

 

The ceremony featured an exhibition of photographs of significant moments in the relations between Portugal and China in recent decades. Another highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of a video with a message from 3 Chinese astronauts, directly from the Chinese space station, to congratulate the ceremony and the friendly relations between Portugal and China, and address those present in Portuguese.

 

The Observatory for China was invited to participate in the restricted ceremony.
