The housing project 'Onzo Yami' begins construction on April 26th

The first thousand residences of the five thousand planned for the "Onzo Yami" housing project, in the municipality of Cacuaco, in Luanda, begin construction on April 26th.

 

According to Nilton Ribeiro, executive director of the Ribeirinho Organizations group, the first thousand residences will be built within a year, meaning they will be completed by April 2025 by the construction company China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group (CTCE). This phase of the project creates over four thousand jobs (two thousand direct and two thousand five hundred indirect).

 

The housing project "Onzo Yami" - My Home, My House, is an initiative of the Ribeirinho Organizations and the Chinese company Guizhou "7th Construction and Engineering Angola" as the investor.

 

Valued at 198 billion kwanzas (375 million dollars), the project seeks to address the housing market needs and, according to the plan, includes, in addition to the five thousand housing units, recreational and leisure areas, schools, markets, daycare centers, Youth House, elderly care homes, hospitals, areas for churches, and other social facilities.
